Helen Kern began serving as the Preschool and Children’s Pastor at Central Baptist in January 2022. She holds M.A. degrees in Children’s Ministry and Discipleship from Dallas Baptist University. Helen and her husband, Matt, moved to the Tri-Cities from the Atlanta area and quickly adapted to a life of hiking – and less traffic! When she’s not serving our kids and families, you can find Helen training for her next marathon and rewarding herself with a good cup of coffee.

Helen’s life verse is Ephesians 2:4-5: But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
